March 25, 2005: John M. Borders Purchases IHM Facility Services

We are pleased to announce a change in ownership of IHM Facility Services.  Effective Friday, March 25, 2005, John M. Borders and Jerry L. VanGombos purchased majority ownership of IHM Facility Services.

John M. Borders, the new majority owner, will serve as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.  Jerry L. VanGombos will serve as President and Chief Operating Officer, and is the largest minority shareholder.

The completion of the purchase is the second of a three step process that will transform this 29 year old regional contract service provider into a nationally recognized MBE, ISO 9001:2000 Certified service and product supplier to a variety of medium to large manufacturing, industrial, food processing, institutional, educational and governmental facilities.

The first was the completion and issuance of our ISO 9001:2000 certification on June 19, 2003.  The efforts to become a nationally recognized MBE started in September 2002 when negotiation began with John Borders.  Although some local MBE status was achieved with our service partner company in 2003, the goal remained to have national certification.

During the last year, Mr. Borders has continued to work with the Indiana Regional Minority Supplier Development Council, IRMSDC.  This group is an alliance member of the National Minority Supplier Development Council, which is recognized nationwide.  The purchase of IHM Facility Services was structured in accordance with IRMSDC parameters.

We have submitted the necessary documentation for their review.  We have been told to expect the IRMSDC certification to be complete within the next 14 to 30 days. 

Upon completion of this venture, we will notify you, our customers, vendors, and commerce partners so that you will be informed of the changes and initiate the application for any corporate diversity credit that may be available.
